Camera Shy

When we started my presentation I was incredibly nerves because I'm very camera shy. The comments and questions I received were helpful, when relevant. I found this whole process rather excessive, I think students should do this in an empty room with just the themselves and the instructor. Overall, I think that doing this in front of a camrea and other student made getting my ideas across rather difficult.

Deja Vu, I've Seen This All Before

This blog seems oddly familiar. I feel like I have done this blog a least 3 times before. I feel that I have explained this before. I have acquired the knowledge doing the other 10 plus blogs I have complete this term, and by the way it's not very new. I do feel that this class, like this blog, is extremely repetitive. I feel like my learning process is being stopped by all of the busy work of this class.

Don't Drop My Lightbulb

Since I have stated making this game I realized that people really don't understand how much cyberbullying can hurt a person's spirit. The people who cyberbully can do so from comfort the of their compter desk or their laptop. This isn't just a bully stealing lunch money on the play ground. This follows the victim home, on their cell phone, and since its in written form the have to face the words. I learned this in Civics class the other day though a newspaper article and a intelligent discussion. My teacher moderated the discussion so it was very informative and factual. Being an opened discussion this really helped me fully grasp this concept.

It's Lonely Over Here

I had a lot of troble finding another person doing a game based on cyberbullying. So, In light of that I simply went and found my own research link and posted it. This link is a very helpful guide to cyberbullying. containing statistics, laws, effect of it, and how to recognize it.

Cardboard Beta

I'm making CyTris its a puzzle\quiz game. This game is going to be a fun way for kids to get information about cyber bullying. The object of the game is to play tetris and along the way avoid being harassed on the internet from diffrent sources. There is mostly playing Tetris but there is a large amount of quizing evolved. The overlay of using the quiz within the game may be a bit difficult. Below is my paper prototype:

CyTris? Sounds Like an Off Brand Orange Soda.

My game is entitled CyTris.
Here is a short synopsis:

"My game idea is a Tetris clone that poses a question about cyberbulling and asked you to answer it. The game will consist of blocks that fall from the top. When the number line of blocks is completed you get a point. You will be asked a question at the completion of the required number of lines in a level. If it is answered correctly you get to choose the next piece you get to use. If it is answered incorrectly you get a line of blocks that fall on your screen making the game much more difficult. The questions will become more frequent as you progress through the levels. Levels of difficultly will be caused by the speed of the falling blocks"

I can't wait for the programing to start. Wow, I love to play Tetris and after programing it I'll probably never play it again lol. I can't wait for the challenge of making and designing this game. I'm ready to get started :3

No One Loves You and Your Adopted.

Cyberbullying is a major problem online now a days. Most people don't understand that it can be really hard to deal with after a while. It's really important to learn how to prevent cyberbullying, This is a major problem plaguing our generation. In these days of the electron and the 'Puter lol, many of us have this problem. This is why I think I want to make this game and I can't wait to do it!

┘┬ Puzzling Tetris ┬└

I'm not much of a gamer at all but I love logic and puzzle games. I'm a huge Myst Fan as well as a Tetris Fan. These games teach logic and thinking skills to all who play them. These games are amazing at making your brains work. Since i was young I've always wanted to make a tetris clone. I hope that I can learn how to program these types of game are amazing.
Play Tetris

Private Party! Just don't tell anyone.

With the creation of Facebook, Myspace, Vampire Freaks, eSpin, Wiki, and many others it's becoming more and more difficult to secure your identity on the internet. Internet privacy is an important idea to all of us Facebookiens, Myspace-ers, and Bloggers to understand that once its out there YOU CAN NEVER GET IT BACK! AHHH!, Oh sorry scared myself O.o... anyway we all know what its like to have someone creep on your facebook or read your Myspace comments with those of your friends to fit together the conversation. We feel weirded out when some 48 year old man from Wisconsin or some other Midwestern state knows who you took to prom and what you did last Saturday night (yes I know, Gabbi told me) anyway that's not so bad, but if the same guy knew your cell number or home address that is no longer creepy that's like a level 9.654 on my things-that-keep-me-up-at-night meter. Just keep your number and home address and other important data off of the magic box to Myspace Land and Facebook Country.
Just remember creepers love teenagers.

I'm Late I'm late I'm Late... For Globaloria

It's been a lot of late work. The changes in my classes has been horid! Now that I'm setteled in to all my classes seem to be ok now. Globaloria sounds interesting to say the least and im ready for the rest of the semester. I hope we get to program and build games because I've been waiting for this class since late 2nd semester last year. I'm a big tetris player and I've always wanted to make my own clone of it "Duane-tris" lol. I can't wait to get in to the programing of gaming engines. I fear that some of this work may be way to much for me to handle even though i have taken almost every computer course Weir High has to offer.
Well its time I get to work
Read my blog. RAWR

Duane
